Dana L. Evan joined Jafco Ventures as a Venture Partner in 2013 bringing over 20 years of executive leadership experience. With her deep background in driving finance and business operations, Dana is able to provide tremendous insights to fast-growth, high-performance enterprises. In addition, her broad range of experiences and achievements has led to a great network of relationships in Silicon Valley and elsewhere.
Life Before Jafco
Before joining Jafco Ventures, Dana was the CFO and a founding executive of VeriSign. She helped grow the company from a small venture-backed startup to a global enterprise with nearly 5,000 employees and $2 billion in revenue. She led all of the institutional financings at VeriSign during her tenure, including its successful IPO. Dana was also responsible for executing approximately 60 merger and acquisition transactions while at Verisign.
Prior to VeriSign, Dana served in a range of financial executive roles for several public and private companies including Delphi Bioventures and Identix Incorporated. Earlier in her career, she held a variety of positions at KPMG LLP.
Dana currently serves on the Boards of Box, Criteo, Everyday Health, Fusion-IO (FIO), Proofpoint (PFPT), Second Life and Survey Monkey. Previously, Dana served on the Board of Omniture (OMTR), which was acquired in October 2009 by Adobe Systems for $1.8B, and MySQL, which was acquired by Sun Microsystems in February 2008 for $1.2B.
Dana is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. degree in Commerce with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Santa Clara.
