    We have a single major limited partner, which is Jafco Co., Ltd., thus our name. Based in Tokyo, Jafco Co., Ltd. is the largest and most prestigious venture capital firm in Japan. About every two years, Jafco Co., Ltd. provides us with $150 million of fresh capital for a new fund. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful partner, for in addition to funding, they provide us with fantastic access to the Japan market for those portfolio companies where it can make a big difference.

    How much money do you currently manage and what sectors do you invest in?

    With more than $600M under management, we invest primarily in leading edge, broad-based information technology segments such as consumer Internet, digital media, enterprise software, cloud computing, mobile applications, security and semiconductors/components. We also very selectively invest in industries we believe are ripe for change such as agriculture/food, education, energy and health care.
